The Law Offices of Mark D. Lefkowitz commenced its practice in 1984 in New York and in New Jersey. It was then and still is a diverse practice, concentrating in civil litigation at the trial and appellate levels; mediation and arbitration; wills and trusts; probate and administration of estates; business formation; family business and estate disputes; employment law; construction law; and landlord and tenant issues.
Upon the initial contact with clients, it has always been the firm’s mission to first determine the client’s objectives in seeking counsel and then how best to achieve those objectives at affordable cost.
After more than four decades in practice, Mr. Lefkowitz has come to the conclusion that as the law evolves, one must adapt the practice accordingly. It is essential to be connected to the client’s goals at all times; and to be efficient, practical and communicative whenever a client seeks counsel. Mr. Lefkowitz prioritizes his day to be able to respond to all client communications either the same day or shortly thereafter.
Mr. Lefkowitz also believes that the practice of law can be significantly beneficial to clients if it is undertaken on a collaborative basis and to be able to draw from the experience and expertise of fellow attorneys. He maintains of counsel affiliations with 2 law firms and has office locations in Manhattan, New City, New York and Hawthorne, New Jersey.
